PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous insertion by forming recessed or protruded notches on one end side of a printed board, and providing an erroneous insertion preventing section coupled with the notches when the second connector is connected to the first connector piece on a plate-shaped body. CONSTITUTION:An erroneous insertion preventing tool 10 is machined with a metal plate and has a base section 11 fitted on the back face of the second connector piece 6, a sticking section to fix the base section 11 to the screw hole 14 of the connector piece 6, and an erroneous insertion preventing section 11a protruded at the required position on the base section 11. Notches 1a to be coupled with the erroneous insertion preventing section 11a when both connector pieces 3, 6 are connected are formed on the lower side of a board 1. The screw hole 14 of the second connector piece 6 is a screw hole to fix the connector piece 6 to a device main body, this screw hole 14 is concurrently used for fixing the erroneous insertion preventing tool 10, thus the tool 10 can be fitted to the main body side connector of all types. The erroneous insertion of connectors can be prevented only by fitting the erroneous insertion preventing tool 10 to the main body side connector and applying simple machining to the board side. |
