PURPOSE:To produce a good-taste soy milk without fail by immersing soybeans in water and shortening the grinding time according to the immersing time. CONSTITUTION:Soybeans are immersed in water in a grinding.separation unit having a rotary cutter 16 and a soy milk separation basket 17 and subsequently ground in a grinding time shortened according to the immersing time. The rotary cutter 16 is rotated by a motor 25. A soybean juice prepared by grinding the soybeans is heated using a heater 37 and electrical charging to the heater 37 is stopped after about 3-4min. from detection of boiling of the soybean juice by a temperature sensor 41. A soy milk separation basket 17 is then rotated at a low speed using the motor 25. The soybean juice is separated into soy milk and 'OKARA' (insoluble residue of soybean) by a filter cylinder 23 and the soy milk is introduced to a soy milk vessel 36 through a flow path 34 and an outlet 35. shortening of the grinding time is carried out when the timer circuit of a controller 43 is set.
