<p>PURPOSE:To provide a high functional freshness-maintaining material having highly excellent ethylene-treating performance, moldability and safety and further having buffer performance and heat insulation performance required for packaging vegetables or fruits by incorporating carbon black carrying Pd compound thereinto. CONSTITUTION:A resin (e.g. polyethylene or poly-styrene) is blended with 1-20wt.% of carbon black carrying a Pd compound (preferably palladium chloride) in an amount of 0.1-5wt.% based on the whole amount of the Pd compound-carrying carbon black as an ethylene-absorbing agent and subsequently formed into the foamed net. The carbon black is preferably one having a specific surface area (BET method) of 15-400m<2>/g, a dibuthyl phthalate absorbing amount of 150-250ml/100g and an average primary particle diameter of 20-40mmu, and the carbon black is charged in a 0.1-5N inorganic acid aqueous solution containing the Pd compound, allowed to absorb the Pd compound, filtered and dried to carry the Pd compound thereon.</p> |
