The device is intended for prescription and monitoring of the quantity of data, exchanged via a communication processor and the incoming-outgoing channels of a calculation system. It is applicable for all operational regimes of the communication processor and has a minimum in volume apparatus realization.The device consists of a bite counter, buffer, two registers, comparator, multiplexor and a managing logic, connected to the bloc for link with the incoming-outgoing channels via navigation and information rims.
