At the top of a sloping sided housing (14) for a copying machine for dental applications, is a counter-balanced pantograph arm (11) with a power tool (7) at each end. The two tools are independently driven, and their driving spindles are vertical. Carried by one of the sides of the housing is an electromagnetic controller for changing the drive from one tool to the other and also controlling its cooling and lubrication. One (11b) of the tool supports also carries reserve spindles for the drive. USE/ADVANTAGE - The tool is an isoparallelometer for operations on e.g. dental models. Cutting and drilling tools can be supported by the pantograph arm.
