PURPOSE:To easily and exactly recognize the set state of data of the low-order hierarchy in the case of inputting the data of a multi-dimensional structure interactively with a screen by displaying the information for showing such a data set state concerning whether the data of the low-order hierarchy is present thereon or not and whether an error is present thereon or not on a part of an input field of each hierarchy. CONSTITUTION:When the data is set to an (n + 1)-th dimensional input field 4, an auxiliary information setting processing part 5 sets a state whether or not its set data is present and a state whether an error is present or not to the auxiliary information of each input field. A state display processing part 6 reads its auxiliary information in accordance with the hierarchy of the input field displayed on a screen at present, discriminates whether the data exists in the lower hierarchy or not and whether an error is present or not, and displays its result on the screen. In such a manner, in the input field screen of an arbitrary hierarchy, such a data set state as whether a data input is present in the low-order hierarchy or not and whether an error is present or not can be easily identified.
