The invention relates to a device for levelling down the verges of a road, combined with a bucket for cleaning out the ditch which borders this road. It consists of a blade (1) mounted on the bucket (2) so as to be on the side of a flank (5) of the said bucket (2). It furthermore comprises means (18 to 32) which allow it to move in a vertical plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bucket, for adjustment purposes, such that its cutting edge (17) is always horizontal. Application to the levelling down of the verges of a road carried out at the same time as cleaning out the ditch which borders the same road. <IMAGE>
