The invention relates to a valve making it possible alternately to supply a volume then to discharge this volume abruptly into an installation, the said valve (1) comprising a body (8) housing, on the one hand, a variable-volume feed chamber (9) and, on the other hand, also of variable volume, a chamber (11) for discharging the volume towards the installation, in order to control the circulation of the gas in the discharge path (11, 6) and, possibly, the pipe (6) for connection to the installation emerges in the chamber via a stopper seat (16) with which there interacts a stopper member (17) carried by or produced directly by the piston (13), in which valve the piston furthermore has a limited recoil and, despite the limited recoil of the piston in order to create a discharge path of cross-section sufficient to limit the losses in pressure head, the valve body accommodates an annular pipe (25) emerging substantially around the seat (16) when it is open and delimited by the piston (13) and the body (8) of the valve. It is characterised in that the annular pipe is substantially exclusively located on the side of the seat facing the piston. <IMAGE>
