The connector includes, in the form of a head (4), a first adaptor fitting the valve of a tyre and a second pierced adaptor receiving the neck of a cylinder of compressed gas (1). This second connector is in the form of a cylindrical part in which are made annular grooves (6) the bottoms of which are of decreasing diameters in the direction of the cylinder (1). One of the grooves (6) receives an O-ring (17) the external diameter of which, when fitted, then corresponds to the internal diameter of the handlebar (18) of the vehicle to which the tyre is fitted. The head (4) has a diameter at least equal to the external diameter of this handlebar (18). The connector, ready to use, is sheltered inside the handlebar (18) and acts as a plug for it. <IMAGE>
