NEW MATERIAL:Fused protein consisting of gB and gD of herpes simplex virus(HSV) surface antigen. USE:Vaccine for the prevention and treating agent of HSV infectious diseases. PREPARATION:The objective fused protein consisting of gB and gD of herpes simplex virus surface antigen can be produced e.g. by collecting virus DNA from herpes simplex virus Miyame strain by conventional method, treating with restriction enzyme to obtain a DNA fragment containing gB gene, separately treating DNA of HSV with restriction enzyme to prepare a DNA fragment containing gD gene, bonding both fragments with each other and then bonding to a proper vector to prepare a recombinant plasmid containing a gB-gD fused protein gene, introducing the plasmid into a host such as yeast to transform the host and finally culturing the transformant in a medium. |
