PURPOSE:To cut a work without generation of an abnormal reaction at a corner part and at a high speed by setting cutting conditions in accordance with the material and plate thickness of the work to be cut and irradiating laser beam from a work head through these cutting conditions. CONSTITUTION:When the work is cut, working conditions such as output, assistant gas pressure, cutting speed, the time constant of the cutting speed are inputted in advance into the data base of an NC device 12 in accordance with the material and plate thickness of the work. Since these cutting conditions are stored in the NC device 12 in advance as the data base by the material and plate thickness, the working conditions including the time constant are determined automatically only by inputting the material and plate thickness of the work 5 to be machined. Consequently, the work can be cut without generating abnormal reactions though the speed is not reduced at a corner part and the productivity can be improved drastically. |
