PRODUCTION OF PULP BY MICROORGANISM

PURPOSE:To obtain pulp inexpensively and industrially with saved energy without adding a nutrition source and cellulose decomposition inhibitor by treating wood chip with microorganisms. CONSTITUTION:Wood chip or pulp prepared by refining wood chip is treated with a microorganism without substantially adding a nutrition source and a cellulose decomposition inhibitor. NK-1148 strain (FERM BP-1859) may be cited as the microorganism.
