PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a rotation detector by opposing a stator core and a rotor core axially of a rotational shaft with an axial gap being held, and disposing a rotary transformer radially on the cores. CONSTITUTION:A stator winding 10 for a rotary transformer is disposed inside the radial direction of a stator core 3, and the core 3 and the winding 10 are disposed in the same radial direction in a frame 20. A rotor winding 11 is disposed radially on a rotor core 6, and they are disposed in the same radial direction in a frame 26. Here, when the winding 2 is excited to rotate a rotational shaft 4, the core 6 and the winding 11 are rotated, and a voltage is generated by a crossing magnetic flux in a rotor winding 5. A sine wave rotation detection signal responsive to the rotating angle can be output externally through the windings 11, 10. |
