摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To stably mass-produce a stainless steel with very low [O] and [S] contents by regulating the temp. of a molten steel at the conclusion of vacuum decarburization to a slightly high value, perfectly performing slagging-off after Si reduction, and then carrying out desulfurization and deoxidation by putting a specific flux together with [Al] into the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of a molten steel at the conclusion of vacuum decarburization is regulated to a value higher than heretofore, and the slagging- off after Si reduction is perfectly exerted. subsequently, [Al] is added by 0.8-1.5kg per ton of molten steel and also a flux containing, by weight, 50-60% CaO, 12-16% Al2O3, and 23-31% CaF2 and further containing <=1.5% SiO2 is put into the molten steel, and finish desulfurization and deoxidation are carried out. By this method, the stainless steel with very low [O] and [S] contents excellent in hot workability can be stably produced.</p>
