<p>PURPOSE:To drastically decrease the variation in the resistance value of resistance elements by continuously laminating, forming a resistor film for resistance elements and a conductor film for driving electrodes and partially etching away the conductor film so as to form the resistance element at required place. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 2 is formed on a transparent substrate 1 and is patterned to form picture element electrodes 3 and thereafter, a nonlinear resistance film 5 is formed; further, the resistor film 6 and the conductor film 7 are continuously formed. The conductor film 7, the resistor film 6 and the nonlinear resistance film 5 are selectively etched to form electrode patterns. Only the conductor films 7 of the electrode patterns are partially selectively etched. In this case, the metal having an ordinary relatively high resistivity can be used as the resistance element for preventing overcurrent. The administration of the resistance value is facilitated in this way and the variation in the resistance value is suppressed.</p> |
