PURPOSE:To grasp the engaging condition of a friction element and accomplish proper control by furnishing an actuator to control the working liquid supply amount in a liquid pressure supply circuit in connection with the friction element, and provide a means to measure the volume of working liquid which is discharged from the actuator. CONSTITUTION:An input sensor 10 to sense the line pressure PL is installed in the fore-stream of an actuator 7 provided in a liquid pressure supply circuit 6, while in the back-stream an output pressure sensor 11 to sense the discharge pressure Pc is installed. Sensing signals from these sensors 10, 11 are fed to an accumulating means 12, and the volume V of working liquid is calculated. The value obtained is passed to an actuator control means 14, in which the relationship between the engaging condition of a friction element 5 and the allowable stroke volume Vphi of a piston 5b is entered in advance. The engaging condition of the friction element 5 can be known from comparison of the volume V0 with V, and is V<V0, the control signal based upon the car speed etc. to be output to the actuator 7 is canceled and a full open signal is emitted. Thus the optimum control is made practicable. |
