PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a recording medium by toner and to reduce the thickness of a device main body by providing a recording electrode and a cleaning means on sides opposite to each other by interposing the center line of a recording medium supporting member situated below and setting an angle made by the wall of a developer container with a horizontal direction to >=45 deg.. CONSTITUTION:The toner 1 drops from a cleaner 8 in a vertical direction by gravity and advances to a developing part along the inner surface of the wall of the container 10 after it drops in the developer container 10. The shortest distance l1 between the recording medium 5 and the container 10 is set to >=5mm. When it is set to <5mm, the toner 1 sticks to the recording medium 5. In the case that the angle made by the wall of the developer container with the horizontal direction is >=45 deg., the toner 1 is moved by the action of gravity. Then, the shortest distance l2 between the surface of the sleeve and the wall of the developer container is set to <=10mm so that the toner 1 fed from the cleaner 8 along the wall of the developer container by gravity may be attracted to a sleeve 3 by receiving the effect of a magnetic force. By setting the recording electrode 4 and the cleaner 8 on the sides opposite to each other by interposing the center of the recording medium supporting member 11, the toner 1 is prevented from directly dropping from the cleaner 8 to the recording electrode 4 and an image becomes clearer without irregularities. |
