<p>PURPOSE:To enable employment of a small winch and to relax side pressure onto a cable at a bent by carrying out main traction through a main wire and auxiliary traction through an auxiliary wire in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A pulling eye 13 is fixed to the end of a cable 11 and a main wire 14 is jointed to the eye 13 and then pulled by means of a main winch 15, arranged at the end of a laying route, thus carrying out main traction. Auxiliary wires 22, 32 are laid along the cable 11 in front of bents A-C so that they are bundled at proper intervals and loosened at the inlets of the bents A-C. At the same time, the auxiliary wires 22, 32 are pulled by means of auxiliary winches 24, 34 thus carrying out auxiliary traction. Consequently, small winches 15, 24, 34 can be employed. Furthermore, tension and side pressure onto the cable 11 can be reduced at the bents A-C through the auxiliary traction.</p> |
