PURPOSE: To obtain the subject wear effective for protecting the wearing person from the splash and spill of a hot organic liquid by sandwiching a gas-permeable and liquid-impermeable thin poly(tetrafluoroethylene) sheet between a pair of woven fabrics of crystalline poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide). CONSTITUTION: The objective wear is produced by sandwiching a thin poly(tetrafluoroethylene) sheet 12 between a pair of poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide) staple fiber yarn layers 14 to form an outer skin layer, applying a woven fabric 11 of a crystalline poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide) yarn to the outer surface of the outer skin layer to form a multilayer outer skin 10 having a weight of 150-300g/cm<2> , bonding the obtained outer skin 10 to an insulating inner liner 20 composed of at least one layer of an insulation material and having a thermal insulation value of 0.25-1.0 (based on the outer skin and the inner liner) and forming the laminate in the form of e.g. an overall.
