<p>PURPOSE: To provide a freely expanding trunk product having a hard top, bottom, and intermediate peripheral frame by making the pleats of a circumferential wall member selectively expandable in order to form the large and small capacities of the trunk product. CONSTITUTION: A foldable inner wall panel member 42 constitutes the inner circumferential wall of a trunk product, and each of walls 16, 18, 20, 22 has upper and lower panel portions 44, 46 joined together by a folding line 48 parallel to a bottom wall 14. Each part has an individual hard plate member, which may be plywood, fiber board, metal, or plastic. A female snap fastener element 58 is attached to a lower hard panel member 46 at a fixed position in such a way as to be snap fitted to a male element 40, and, when a lower snap fit is made, the lower panel part 46 is held in an extended position to form the large inner capacity of a trunk product. Also when a the lower snap fit is undone by putting a piece 52 inward and the upper edge of an end wall is pushed downward, the trunk product can easily the shrunk.</p> |
