Adjusting and clamping member for cores of space frames esesntially including a compensation member (9) interposed between the stationary member (7) and the moving member (8), means for fixing and tensioning a bar (4) and a common core (1) exhibiting the same screw pitch as the assembly bolt (3) and the same calibre as the stationary and moving members (7) and (8) and a smaller thickness than the latter, so that they can all be manipulated with the aid of a common tool, and acting as a stop piece and backrest (prop) or lock nut for the nut (7) when the bolt (3) is immobilised in the core (1) and the nut (8) against the bar (4). Particularly applicable to means for assembling space frames for arches with balanced bars. <IMAGE>
