In prior art devices for injecting a fuel/gas mixture, there is a danger of the fuel-injection valve plunger becoming crooked and/or its central axis becoming displaced in the longitudinal bore in the valve-plunger housing, thus leading to an asymmetrical shape of the annular gap and asymmetrical injection of the fuel into the mixing chamber. The new device has a fuel-injection valve (1) whose injection end (2) rests against a contact surface (6) in the longitudinal bore (5). Between this contact surface (6) and the mixing chamber (12) are an annular channel (20), linked to a gas supply (22), and an annular gap (21), thus ensuring that the annular gap (21) is precisely defined and symmetrical. The design of the device makes it particularly suitable for use in internal-combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
|
