PURPOSE:To make a porous solid electrolyte membrane dense and to increase reliability, by impregnating an aqueous solution, in which solid electrolyte fine particles are dispersed, in a porous solid electrolyte membrane and then baking the membrane. CONSTITUTION:YSZ powder is plasma-sprayed and attached on a porous substrate 4 made of calcia-stabilized zirconia, on which a Ni/YSZ electrode 3 is previously formed to form a porous solid electrolyte membrane 1 serving as a bone, and an aqueous solution in which YSZ fine particles 2 are dispersed is impregnated in the electrolyte membrane 1 at reduced pressure to attach the particles 2 inside pores of the membrane 1. An electrode 5 is formed on the membrane 1, and the whole is baked. The fine particles 2 are sintered inside the pores to fill the pores. The membrane 1 is made dense by impregnation treatment. |
