<p>A device for the removal of a solidified mineral melt, so called flash, from the spout (3) on a transport channel (1) for a mineral melt (2) in a plant for the production of mineral wool fibers, said device comprising a finger (9) made of a heat resistant material, e.g. of steel, which finger (9) is designed to, by means of a motor (10,11), quickly be moved past and through the melt jet (5) below and adjacent the spout (3) on the melt channel (1) in order to scrape off existing flash material from the melt channel (1). Said device optionally comprises a thermosensor, designed to emit an alarm signal, in case the temperature of the mineral melt at any point falls below a predetermined temperature, and/or a sensor designed to immediately actuate the flash removal finger (9) as soon as a tendency to flash formation appears. <IMAGE></p> |
