PURPOSE:To make the occurrence of a speed change shock in a speed increase direction at the time of re-acceleration by 'shift down' from a low speed, by conducting a speed shift action by cutting off a directly connected clutch, and having the directly connected clutch connected when a set time has passed from re-acceleration. CONSTITUTION:A transmission controller 60, when a 'shift down' command has been inputted, conducts a speed shift action by cutting off the directly connected clutch of a torque converter when the speed shift step of the transmission at the previous time was a low speed one. After this, the signal of an acceleration pedal 51 having been stepped on is inputted through an engine control circuit 50, and then, a control circuit 64 for 'shift down' at a low speed step sets a timer 65, and the directly connected clutch is made to be connected when a set time has passed. Thus, a speed shift shock is generated in a speed increase direction, and the feeling of unpleasantness against an operater is got rid of, and at the same time the shock of the directly connected clutch being connected and a heat load can be reduced. |
