The A/D converter allows an analogue voltage to be converted into a corresponding digital value by comparison with a number of different reference values (Uc1...Urn). A binary value is provided in dependence on the result of each comparison, each held by a respective bistable memory element (F1...Fn) with resetting of the latter to an initial condition at the beginning of each conversion. The binary values are stored by the memory elements (F1...Fn) in response to a window signal.
