PURPOSE:To produce a compsn. having air purifying power by bringing one or more among ascorbic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and gluconic acid into contact with an iron or manganese product formed by plastic working or a secondary worked product thereof. CONSTITUTION:One or more among ascorbic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and gluconic acid are brought into contact with an iron or iron-manganese product formed by plastic working or a secondary worked product thereof to produce a compsn. contg. reaction products coexisting with the unreacted metal and having air purifying power. The formed product or the secondary worked product may be a sheet-, foil-, wire-, tube- or net-shaped body, a honeycomb, fibrous or fine flaky body. |
