<p>PURPOSE:To accelerate processing speed by performing the switching processing of a cluster when image data is written or read out by hardware other than a CPU. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 20 as a control means retrieves the memory unit (cluster) of the storage area of a storage means 18 such as a memory card, etc., on which the image data is to be written or read out via a selector 16 in advance, and stores a cluster number in another storage means 22, and performs the following switching processing of the cluster with the hardware i.e., an address generator 24, a data counter 26, and a selector 14. Thereby, the switching processing of the cluster can be performed at high speed. Also, the CPU 20 can perform another job while the compression (expansion) processing of the image data is performed at an encoder/decoder part 12.</p> |
