<p>PURPOSE: To increase speed at which a customer passes a checkout counter without an aid of an excessive employee by including two hoppers for inserting purchased articles inside the checkout counter, two reels for a plastic bag joined together as a single strip and two equal apparatuses for retaining the bag opened below the hoppers. CONSTITUTION: The checkout counter includes a conveyer belt 7 on which a cashier put on checked articles, a chute 8 from which a customer takes checked-out purchased articles, a cash register 5 on the checkout counter indicated by broken lines and a guard 6. Unlike a conventional checkout counter, two bag reels 11, 11' placed below a plate 1, hoppers 18, 18' for putting in checked-out articles of normal sizes into a plastic bag fed from the reels 11, 11' and collection sites 4, 4' are provided, wherein the bag is placed opening below the hoppers 18. 18' and is kept open while insertion of the articles continues.</p> |
