<p>PURPOSE: To provide a high adjusting accuracy using a simple structure by disposing at least part of a means for checking the adjustment of reflector mirror at an adapter connectable with the reflector mirror for inspecting the adjustment. CONSTITUTION: A headlamp has a reflector mirror 11 adjustably disposed in a casing 10 and a glow lamp 13 mounted is the apex zone of the reflector mirror 11 through a lamp support 12. An opening 15 furnished at the rear face of the casing 10 is covered with a cap 16, the cap 16 serving as an adapter 17 for checking the adjustment of the reflector mirror, when it is reversely attached. In a part of cap 16 near the casing 10, a flat surface 19 is provided defined by the edge of an annular groove which accommodates a seal ring 20, and this flat surface 19 constitutes at least part of an adjustment checking means and is oriented parallel with a horizontal reference line 24 provided on a cross-beam 22 of the car body.</p> |
