PURPOSE:To improve a seal effect by fitting a pipe connection part to the outside of a joint main unit, in which a seal member is inserted, tightening the pipe connection part to contract its diameter by a tightening member, fitted to the outside of the pipe connection part, and arranging a tightening assist unit, deformed elastically by tightening force, in the inside of the tightening member. CONSTITUTION:A joint seal part 11a, in which a seal member 13 is inserted, is provided in a joint main unit 11. A pipe connection part 12 is fitted to the outside of the joint seal part 11a, and a slit ring 14 is fitted to the outside of the pipe connection part 12. A small diameter end part 14c of the ring 14 is pressed by a cap nut 15 of tightening member mounted to an external thread part 14a, and the seal member 13 is pressed to perform a seal by deforming a diameter so as to be contracted. An annular tightening assist unit 16, deformed elastically by tightening force, is arranged in the inside of the cap nut 15. As a result, a sufficient seal effect can be displayed even when fluid of high temperature is circulated in a pipe. |
