PURPOSE:To decrease the frequency of replacement of recording head without causing considerable increase in cost of recorder and to reduce running cost by providing a deformable tubular member for integrally connecting an ink tank and an ink jet recording head. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 2 and a recording head 1 are previously coupled through a flexible tube 15, while being removed from a recorder body, so that they can not be removed easily. When the recording head 1 moves according to the movement of a carriage 6, one end of the tube 15 coupled with the recording head 1 moves while being guided by a tube guide 16 with the other end fixed to the ink tank 2 being fixed thus deforming the U-shape of the tube 15. Consequently, only the recording head 1 is mounted on the carriage 6 and the ink tank 2 charged with a large amount of ink feeds ink through the tube 15 to the recording head 1 while being secured to the recorder body side. By such arrangement, the weight of ink can be increased, frequency of replacement of the recording head can be decreased and running cost can be reduced. |
