Horizontal flow electrostatic dust filter with rhomboid collector - where electrodes discharge detached dust between gapped lower faces
摘要
An electrostatic dust filter for gas travelling horizontally between inlet (3) and outlet (4) terminals is occupied by collector electrodes (5) each forming a rhomboidal section of the total gas flow cross-section with a spray electrode (6) at the section centre. The spray electrodes are anchored in support frames (8) at the filter ends. The lower two walls in each rhombus have a dust-discharge slot (22) extending the full rhombus length, and from which dust is transferred to base collector chambers (2) when detached by mechanical strikers from the collector electrodes, consisting essentially of inverted V sheet metal channels. Elongated filters may have several support frames (8) at intervals. ADVANTAGE - Both inner and outer faces of sheet metal collector electrodes are used, providing optimum employment of filter cross-section.
