PURPOSE:To measure many inspection materials quickly and accurately, by contacting the inspection materials such as blood serum, blood plasma with a specific complex precipitant and separating beta-lipoprotein by precipitation and then, separating a liquid phase containing alpha-lipoprotein (HDL) and moreover, measuring its colesterol. CONSTITUTION:Many inspection materials are put in each receptacle S1 and the receptacle S1 is supplied to a mixing.coil MC, successively by a pump P3 using an automatic sampler having a pipette S3. A precipitant composed of three components of dextran sulfuric acid having about 0.02-0.05dl/g ultimate viscosity [eta] and about 17-20% S and alkaline earth metal salts and also another divalent metal salts (Ni, Co, Mn salt) and air are sent in a definite quantity and each sample is divided by bubbles 11 and then, beta-lipoprotein is precipitated by the coil MC1. Further, a precipitate 11 is branched T1 and is filtered F. A liquid phase containing HDL is mixed by a mixing coil MC3 together with a cholesterol detemination reagent and the air and these are reacted by heating 4 and then, the absorbance is measured by a colorimeter 5 and is recorded 6 after separating T3 the air. Thus HDL-cholesterol is measured quickly in high accuracy. |
