PURPOSE:To obtain a blow-molded item with label having metallic gloss by extruding plastics containing filler to form a film, applying uniaxial or biaxial stretching to said film to form a plastic sheet having a specific thickness or more and using it as a base material for a label. CONSTITUTION:Manufacture of a blow-molded item with label is as follows. Plastic containing filler is extruded to form a film, which is subjected to uniaxial or biaxial stretching to form a plastic sheet having a specific thickness of 60 mum or more. A metallic deposition layer is provided over the sheet, while an adhesive layer is formed over its rear surface to form a label. The label is attached to the inner surface of a mold for hollow molding, whereby parison or preform is blow-molded. Filler causes micro-voids by stretching and strengthens the rigidity of sheet. Powder of extender such as silica, calcium carbonate etc., are used as filler. As plastics, polyethylene, polypropylene etc., can be used. With a thickness of plastic sheet of 60 mum or less, its rigidity is not sufficient, while 500 mum or less is allowable. To improve metallic gloss of metal deposition layer, smooth coating layer of inorganic substance such as clay etc., or of thermosetting resin can be formed over the surface of base material. |
