The roundabout ride has a rotary driven frame with jib arms fitted with their free ends with gondolas which can be raised up by the occupants. An end position control for each lift member has a pneumatic cylinder and an electric motor (71). It is used to interrupt the occupant-controlled movement of each lift member on reaching at least one end area of the swivel path of the corresponding jib arm (21). The individual operation of each lift member by the occupant can be released as soon as the occupant in the gondola gives a control signal directed away from the momentary end area of the extension arm. USE/ADVANTAGE - Despite individual control there are no sudden end shocks but more a smoother up and down motion.
