摘要 <p>A plant for thermal mineralisation of residues of low heat value from waste mixts. after max. utilisation of the organic matter, uses a furnace for any fuel, followed by a heat-sterilisation plant in which residual organic matter in the residues of low heat value is carbonised at low temp. or oxidised. The plant includes a roasting kiln, in which the low-heat residues are spread on the grate, combined with a furnace in such a way that (part of) the flue gases from the furnace are led through the grate and through the residues. Pref. the furnace is a melt-chamber furnace. The flue dust from the flue gas cleaning, the low-temp. coke from the kiln, and granulate absorbing harmful substances from the flue gas post-cleaning are fed into the furnace. Additionally, fractions from rubbish disposal, e.g. flue and filter dust from waste combustion units, combustible liq. waste e.g. chlorofluorocarbon or polychlorinated biphenyl waste, waste oil, or pasty waste, e.g. lacquer sludge, may be fed into the furnace. A mixing chamber or sec. air inlet, in which the hot gases from the furnace are mixed with the waste gases from the kiln, is connected immediately after the furnace. A unit for freeing hot gas from dust, and an oxidn. catalyst with air feed, pref. at 300-400 deg.C, are connected after the mixing chamber, opt. as a combined unit comprising a continuous granular filter layer (for the dust) in which the granules are coated with a catalyst for oxidn. of remaining carbonisation gas (DE3624975). ADVANTAGE - A robust grate, as carbonisation unit, is combined with any furnace, e.g. a local, de-centralised power plant. The flue gas is denitrified.</p>
