A height adjusting apparatus for the upper mounting of a safety belt system, particularly in motor vehicles, comprises a guide rail (13) in which a sliding member (14) is longitudinally movable as the carrier for the mounting. The sliding member (14) can be locked in associated stop locations (1 to 5) of the guide rail (13) by means of a latch, whilst the latch may be released by means of a release mechanism. The release mechanism is coupled to a transfer element (11, 24, 52) for directional remote control from a control unit (12), and the control unit (12) is provided with a switching element (27, 55) having a synchronous switching path corresponding to the spacing of the stop locations (1 - 5) of the guide rail (13). <IMAGE> |
