PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of radioactive contamination detection sensitivity by providing a 1st detector which detects a body to be measured being carried in and a 2nd detector which detects the measured body being carried out. CONSTITUTION:An upstream-side photoelectric switch 7 detects the body to be measured which is conveyed between a light emitting element 7A and a light receiving element 7B. A downstream-side photoelectric switch 8 detects the body to be measured which is conveyed between a light emitting element 8A and a light receiving element 8B. An arithmetic processor 9 receives detection signals (a) and (b) from the light receiving elements 7B and 8B. Then the arithmetic processor 9 consists of a moving speed arithmetic circuit 11 which calculates a moving speed M=distance L/time T from a distance signal L indicating the distance between the photoelectric switches 7 and 8, a comparing circuit 12 which compares the calculated moving speed signal M with a prescribed reference signal S, and a display part 13. This display part 13 monitors the moving speed of the body to be measured to the reference speed at all times, so the accuracy of the radioactive contamination detection sensitivity is improved.
