In a process for manufacturing prefabricated seamless skirting board corner pieces (10, 11), an essentially plane, plate-shaped thermoplastic blank with a surface equal to at least 1 or 2 times the surface of the finished skirting board corner piece (10, 11) is heated until it is thermoplastically deformable and deformed until it assumes the three-dimensional shape of the skirting board corner piece (10, 11). The deformed blank is then cooled without its shape being changed. The cooled blank is cut along the edges (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) of the skirting board corner piece (10, 11). The process is particularly suitable for non-directional skirting board corner pieces (10, 11) whose design corresponds exactly to that of the adjacent floor covering and of the skirting board.
