Improvements consisting in incorporating into the normal operations of washing and drying, mixing of water, detergents and softeners, rinsing and drying, and also spinning, the extraction of the water from the clothing contained in the drum 15 of a washing machine 10 by means of the creation of a reduced-pressure force (vacuum) which is exerted on said clothing by means of a vacuum pump 12 and a collector tank 11, connected to said drum 15 and to the pump 12 by the conduits 13 and 14, there being a valve 16 for evacuation of the tank of the collector 11 in the lower part thereof. <IMAGE>
