<p>PURPOSE:To perform the arithmetic processing like conversion by performing the arithmetic processing to convert numerical data into a numerical value of a prescribed unit at the time of recognizing unit data different from the prescribed unit. CONSTITUTION:A non-chip microcomputer (MPU) 5 discriminates numerical data and unit data accompanied with it from the recognition result code obtained by the recognition processing of a recognizing means 18 which recognizes read readable data and converts it to a prescribed code corresponding to a character, a symbol, or a numerical value. If unit data different from a prescribed unit is recognized, numerical data with which unit data is accompanied is converted into a numerical value of the prescribed unit and prescribed data arithmetic processing for converted numerical data is performed. Thus, an operator holds a device and scans readable characters and figures on an information transmission member to perform the prescribed data operation for recognized data.</p> |
