PURPOSE:To prevent the image data of a certain product from being shifted to that of the succeeding product and to attain accurate product inspection by updating position correcting information in each time of storing image data corresponding to image data specified by a reference position setting means in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a P correction block, plural R correction blocks and decision blocks (H) are optionally and previously set up over the whole sample, and in each time of inputting the image of an inspected object 11 corresponding to each block position, a positional shift is successively corrected to collate/decide a character pattern by white/black decision dots. Even when the object 11 to be inspected is carried by a belt converyer or the like whose carrying speed is not fixed and its image is successively inputted, highly reliable collation/decision can be attained without generating distortion in the input image data. |
