PURPOSE: To provide sure electric contact with a fitting pin by dividing the free end portions of one pair of contact members into a plural numbers, and providing contact arms having contact faces respectively facing a central axis. CONSTITUTION: A contact arm 12 is formed, so that its contact face 16 becomes vertical to a line passing the center of an opening 56. The reason why this is possible is that the root of the forked contact arm 12 forms an arc-like portion 14 of 90 deg. or more, and is positioned on the upper wall 10 of a contact member 8 of a socket contact 2. Since a contact face 16 faces the center of the opening 56, when the contact face 16 is inserted into the socket contact 2, the face acts so that a fitting pin is positioned at its center portion. Thereby, sure electric contact with the fitting pin can be provided. |
