<p>PURPOSE:To elevate the responsiveness for control of plate thickness and to obtain an accurate plate thickness of a product by providing a tension controller to adjust the tension impressed to a rolling material on the inlet side or both inlet and outlet sides of a rolling mill provided with a hydraulic rolling down device. CONSTITUTION:When a roll gap changes, the tension controllers 33, 34 installed on the inlet side or both inlet and outlet sides of the rolling mill provided with a hydraulic rolling down device detects a tension change generated by the result through a load detector 37 of a presser roll 35. Then, the quantity of inflow or outflow of fluid to a hydraulic cylinder 40 is adjusted by a high speed servo valve 42 so that the tension variation conforms to the target value, as a result, a presser roll 35 moved vertically and the tension of a rolled material 30 varies instantly. Consequently, the result of change of a roll gap by hydraulic rolling reduction is reflected instantly on the plate thickness on the outlet side and the plate thickness is controlled in high responsiveness.</p> |
