<p>PURPOSE:To high accurately travel a tape with a simple structure by detecting a winding diameter of a supply reel, calculating tape tension control torque based on the above calculation result and controlling a supply reel driving means. CONSTITUTION:FG signals 14a and 15a from photo interruptor 14 and 15 as a supply reel rotation detecting means is led via a switch 106 to a supply side winding diameter detecting circuit 113 and a tape tension control torque calculating circuit 114. In the circuit 113, a pulse of an FG signal 51a from a photo interruptor 51 is measured and calculated, and a winding diameter R3 of the reel 4 is calculated. In the circuit 114, reel driving torque required for maintaining tape tension of a target value set previously based on a data of the winding diameter R3 is calculated. This calculated result is led to a reel driving circuit 115 and supplied via a switch 107 to reel motors 9 and 10. By this method, the tension to be given to the tape is kept constant, thus performing a tape traveling control with high accuracy.</p> |
