PURPOSE:To restore an original picture at high speed as well as stably by considering obtained two-dimensional picture information to be the convolution of discretized original picture information and a discretized and variable- separated two-dimensional point spread function, and restoring the original picture by solving numerically a matrix equation. CONSTITUTION:The two-dimensional picture information to be obtained is represented by the convolution of input picture information s(x,y) discretized by a two-dimensional delta function sequence delta(x-jT,y-kT) weighted by a number sequence (sampling interval T) whose sample value is the integrated value s0(jT,kT) of one cell portion of a solid state image pickup element, i.e., the prescribed integrated value s0(jT,kT) and existing in every sampling interval, and the two-dimensional point spread function shown by an expression I similarly discretized by a two dimensional function sequence of variabale-separated. Thus, since the discretized two-dimensional picture information g0(jT,kT) to be obtained is represented by the convolution of the discretized functions, namely, by the expression II, the picture information s0(jT,kT) to be restored can be restored algebraically from the matrix equation of a (jXk) matrix. Thus, the original picture is restored in a short time as well as surely. |
