[Also in Group XXV] A nuclear reactor 4 is braced by a chain composed of links 50 articulated at respective pins 11. Each link carries a set of bolts 18, and each bolt carries a head 19 and a stud 14, the studs 14 together being secured to and carrying bearing plate 13 so that springs 24, which are positioned between the frame 1 of the link and the corresponding stud, urge plate 13 against the reactor 4. Each spring 24 has three components as shown and each pin 11 (Fig. 2), pivots in split hinge elements 10 of a link. |
