PURPOSE:To obtain a material to be recorded having excellent ink acceptability, bleeding resistance and blocking resistance on color recording, in which a large quantity of ink is given in high density by using water base ink particularly, by employing a base material composed of a hydrophilic resin as the base material of the material to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:In a material to be recorded consisting of a base material and an ink acceptable layer formed onto the base material, the base material is shaped of a hydrophilic resin. A natural resin such as albumin, gelatin, etc., and a synthetic resin such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, etc., are cited as the hydrophilic resin used, and one kind or more of these materials are employed desirably. It is desirable that the water resistance of the ink acceptable layer is better than the hydrophilic base material, and a resin originally having few hydrophilic segments is employed or a resin having few bulky groups is selected on a resin having a strong hydrogen bond in order to improve the water resistance of the hydrophilic resin of the ink acceptable layer. Accordingly, when a large quantity of water base ink are used, ink acceptability, bleeding resistance, blocking resistance, light transmission properties, etc., are enhanced. |
