PURPOSE:To individually produce leaf spring material having desired width and length by controlling a rolling down means in accordance with informations of a movable contact on the tip of a material to be rolled and a rolling reduction detector of rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION:When rolling is commenced by rolling rolls 10, 11 and the tip surface of the material A to be rolled passes through a gap between rolls controlling the shape after rolling, the tip surface collides with the movable contact 30 and thereafter the movable contact 30 moves to the downstream side. The movement of this contact 30 is detected by a movement detecting means 40 to follow after a position of the material A to be rolled after rolling in its lengthwise direction. The distance between rolling rolls 10, 11 by a rolling-down means 20 is controlled by a signal for indicating the position of the material A to be rolled after rolling in the lengthwise direction and a specified data inputted into controllers 25, 26 in advance. Thus, it is possible to produce leaf springs having desired width and thickness one by one. |
